The Reed Warbler works tirelessly to feed her chick. She doesn’t understand what happened to the two other eggs that used to be in her nest but she’s working endlessly for the one egg that did hatch. She must be amazed at how quickly “baby warbler” has grown – it is already far bigger than she. Despite baby’s huge size, baby warbler is not ready to fly yet and needs more food to grow stronger. No time to think about the novelty of it all – time to catch some bugs.
It’s not as if no one told us:
In 1974 at the UN, Algerian dictator Houari Boumedienne warned:
“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”
Or perhaps you recall what Muammar Gaddafi predicted:
“There are signs that Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without swords, without guns, without conquest. we don’t need terrorists, we don’t need homicide bombers. The 50+ million Muslims [in Europe] will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”
Just as warblers and redstart hosts fail to recognize the brood parasite that taken over its nest, nations of the West fail to recognize the threat that Muslim immigrants pose.
And just as a mother warbler fails to see the monster she is raising, Western leaders looks past the Frankenstein they have created.
Aren’t we so much smarter than birds?
